Ruby red with garnet reflections. On the nose, very spicy and expressive. Notes of warm spices, subtle toasted hints, and a touch of underbrush emerge. This is complemented by ripe, sweet fruit. On the palate, harmonious and velvety, with noticeable yet polished tannins. Again, very spicy and characterful on the nose. Plum and subtle toasted notes are present. The finish is long with good aromatic persistence.

Recommendation

Wonderful with gnocchi, saltimbocca, and grilled dishes.

Vinification

Only the best selection of Cannonau grapes is used for the Riserva. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then aged for 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. This is followed by further bottle aging before the wine is released for sale.
